Rhapsody
Rhapsody is a monthly subscription service and download store that provides access to music and videos. The Rhapsody software allows you to manage your collection, download unlimited music, create/share playlists, purchase songs, burn CDs, and transfer music to a compatible portable device. The online service provides unlimited access to their entire catalog and allows users to create and share playlists. While the software version is PC only, the online version works on a Mac.
Napster
What origianlly began as a P2P application is now a legitimate digital music service. You can purchase or download music a la carte or sign up for a monthly subscription plan which will give you access to their entire catalog. Subscribers can download songs to their PCs or transfer then to a portable device. Napster is also now providing some services for mobile carriers.
myTracks
myTracks is a unique music download service that offers music fans an easy way to discover and download DRM-free mp3s. Users may listen to or stream full-length songs on myTracks for free. To download any or all of the music on myTracks, users just have to join for a small monthly fee. Once you download it, you own it.
